The Agents tab displays a list of clients that are connected to the server. On this tab, you can configure and run automatic updates for each client.
The list of clients is a table of all clients that have connected to the server at least once. It contains the following information about each client:
In the Timeout (seconds) field, set the update timeout in seconds—the time, not including the time spent downloading the update package, in which the installation process must be completed. If the installation isn’t completed within this time, it is forced to stop. The default value is 3600 seconds.
You cannot update Axxon PSIM and other products to the same build that is already installed. Otherwise, the standard installer window with GUI starts on the agents, and you can only complete this process manually on the agent. |
You can also perform Uninstall/Update manually. To uninstall Axxon PSIM in the command line, run the command: msiexec /x "GUID" /qn /norestart, where GUID is the name under which the product is installed, including the installed version, for example, PSIM v.4.11.3.4849. You can find this name in the HKEY_LOCAL_ MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall section in the registry. |
If you install the Automatic Update Service as a service, then the start/restart of Axxon PSIM is performed under the UpdateAgent.Core.exe service. If you install the Automatic Update Service as a service, then the file of the Axxon PSIM program module specified in the core_module_name parameter of the HKEY_LOCAL_ MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\AxxonSoft\PSIM registry key is started/restarted (for more details, see Axxon PSIM base version; for the information on how to work with the registry, see Working with Windows OS registry). |
All the above actions are also available if you install Axxon PSIM as a service on the client. |
If you want to run the download and update at a scheduled time, set the date and time in the corresponding Download at and Update at fields. By default, the current time is set.
You can schedule the download and update for different dates and times. |
