You can configure the PTZ object (PTZ camera) on the Devices tab. The PTZ object is displayed in the object tree as a child of the Camera object.
To configure the PTZ camera, do the following:
Parameter | Value | Description | |
---|---|---|---|
Object identification | |||
Enable | Yes | By default, PTZ is enabled. To disable it, select the No value | |
No | |||
Name | PTZ | Enter the name of the PTZ camera | |
Patrol | Yes | By default, patrolling is disabled. To enable it, select the Yes value. If patrolling is enabled, you can stop it on the PTZ control panel (see Patrolling). After you finish the PTZ control session, patrolling is enabled automatically | |
No | |||
Save presets | Yes | By default, the parameter is disabled. In this case, the Presets are only stored on the server. To save the created presets to the IP device, select the Yes value
| |
No | |||
Switch interval | 1 | Specify the time interval in seconds at which the PTZ camera switches between the presets in the patrol mode. The value must be in the range [1, 600000] | |
Tag & Track | |||
Priority | Select the control mode (the algorithm of behavior when tracking objects) of the PTZ camera for the Tag&Track Pro feature (see Tag&Track Pro) | ||
None | The Tag&Track Pro feature is disabled. You can control the camera only manually | ||
Manual | The operator initiates manual tracking. To begin tracking, select an object's track in the surveillance window. If you click an area of the frame without an object's track, tracking immediately stops and the camera redirects (aims) to the specified point. This is suitable for targeted monitoring of a single specific object, when the operator needs full control over the start and end of tracking | ||
Automatic | The system automatically detects and sequentially tracks all active objects within the camera's field of view, switching between them at a preset switching frequency (the Switch Frequency parameter). This is suitable for situations when continuous coverage of the entire scene is required without operator intervention, such as on a perimeter during non-working hours | ||
User priority | The system starts working in automatic mode, tracking all objects. Once the operator selects a specific track, the system switches to manual tracking mode. After the operator deselects the track or the system loses the target, the system automatically returns to tracking all objects. This is the most balanced and recommended mode. It combines the advantages of automatic operation (constant visibility) and manual control (quick switching to a priority target upon operator command) | ||
Manual PTZ control | The operator can manually control the PTZ camera at any time for a detailed inspection of the area. Once manual control is stopped (after a short delay of inactivity), the feature returns to automatic operation. This provides maximum flexibility. It allows the operator to intervene in the automatic operation to check for suspicious activity without disabling the tracking function | ||
Switch Frequency | 3 | Specify the time in seconds during which the camera focuses on one object before moving to the next object | |
Other
| |||
Discrete control via continuous control | Yes | By default, the parameter is disabled. If you need to use the step buttons to control the PTZ camera even if the camera doesn't support this mode, select the Yes value (see Control using step buttons and virtual joystick). In this case, the discrete PTZ control is emulated via the continuous control commands | |
No | |||
Home preset | 0 | Select the home preset by specifying the required identifier. The value must be in the range [0, 999999999] | |
Home preset timeout | 0 | The return to the home preset is performed automatically after the specified time in milliseconds. The value must be in the range [0, 999999999]
| |
Multiple control | Yes | By default, the parameter is enabled, which allows multiple users with the same priority to control the PTZ camera at the same time. To disable multiple control, select the No value. In this case only one user at a time can have control (see Controlling a PTZ сamera) | |
No | |||
New PTZ interface | Yes | By default, the parameter is disabled. To use the existing presets on the device in Axxon One, select the Yes value. The presets created on the device automatically appear in the PTZ control panel (see The PTZ Control Panel)
| |
No | |||
Patrol speed | 100 | Specify the speed of transition from one preset to another in conditional units. The value must be in the range [0, 100] | |
Use device presets | Yes | By default, the parameter is disabled. To create the presets with the same identifier in Axxon One (see Creating and editing presets), select the Yes value | |
No | |||
Camera | |||
Camera | {Short name.Name} | If necessary, select the camera to which this PTZ camera must be assigned (see Camera). As a result, the object becomes a child object to the selected camera |
As a result, the PTZ camera is switched to the specified operating mode.
To check the operation of the PTZ camera, click the Test button. If the PTZ camera is configured correctly, it turns one step and returns to its original position.
To use the automatic tracking feature Tag&Track Pro, you must create a logical connection between overview cameras and PTZ cameras, as well as set up precise positional correspondence between their fields of view. To do this, do the following:
