The default archive is used to record videos of alarms that are initiated by the user for a camera. You must set only one default archive for each camera. The first archive to which recording of a video stream from a camera was configured automatically becomes the default archive (see Configuring recording to an archive).

To change the default archive for a camera, do the following:

1. Go to the Archive tab.
2. Select the Server object.
   The Default archives form displays a list of cameras and archives that are marked with corresponding colors. Each camera for which you configured recording to at least one archive has a corresponding archive that is the default archive for this camera.
   
3. To change the default archive for a camera, select the relevant archive.
4. Click the Apply button.
