The Monitoring PSIM is installed as an extension to the Axxon PSIM software. Information about the compatibility of the Axxon PSIM software versions and Monitoring PSIM is presented in the General information about product releases and versions compatibility section.

To install Monitoring PSIM in the Additional workplace software configuration, do the following:

  1. In the root directory of the distribution package, run the setup.exe executable file.
  2. To continue the installation process, click the Next button.
  3. Read carefully the terms of the license agreement. Then set the switch to the I accept the terms of the License agreement position and click the Next button.
  4. Select the Additional workplace installation type and click the Next button.
  5. Select the MS SQL database server and specify the connection parameters. For more details, see Installation of Axxon PSIM as a Server/Remote Administrator's workstation. To continue the installation process, click the Next button.

  6. In the Database field, specify the name of the database or select it in the list of existing databases from the right and click the << button. Click the Next button.

    By default, the name of the database is "MonitorSSTV", and its files are stored in the SQL Server folder.

  7. Specify the export catalog path. This catalog will contain video data received from Agent of Control. Click the Next button.

  8. Specify the IP address and port to connect to the Server of Control videosrv communication module. Click the Next button.

    We highly recommend changing the default values for the Export catalog path and IP address parameters on steps 7-8. Otherwise, after the installation is completed, you must configure Additional workplace (see Configuring Additional workplace and Additional workplace of CSC).

  9. Click the Install button to start the installation process.

    As a result, the system starts copying the required files of Monitoring PSIM to the computer's hard disk.
  10. After the system successfully copies the Monitoring PSIM components, the message about completing the installation process is displayed. Next, click the Finish button.

Installing the Additional workplace software is complete.
