The requirements for cameras when you work with theĀ Train detection module are given in the following table.

Camera

  • Resolution: at least 640x480 pixels.
  • Fps: at least six.
  • Color: analytics works with grey and color images.
  • Camera shaking must not result in image offsets greater than 1% of the frame size

Lighting

  • Medium lighting. In conditions of insufficient (night) or excessive (exposure) lighting, the quality of analytics operation can be reduced.
  • No sharp changes of lighting

Scene and camera angle

  • Camera must be directed to the railway line or as close to it as possible.
  • Background is static and isn't changed sharply

Object images

  • There is no train in the camera FOV at the moment when you start the detector.
  • Minimum overlapping of moving objects by static objects in the scene (columns, trees, and so on).
  • Analytics can work improperly on reflecting surfaces and in the case of sharp shadows from moving objects.
  • The width and height of objects in the image must not exceed 75% of the frame size.
  • The object's speed in the image must not be less than one pixel per second
