The Monitoring PSIM is installed as an extension to the Axxon PSIM software. Information about the compatibility of the Axxon PSIM software versions and Monitoring PSIM is presented in the General information about product releases and versions compatibility section.

To install Monitoring PSIM in the Server of control software configuration, do the following:

  1. In the root directory of the distribution package, run the setup.exe executable file.
  2. To continue the installation process, click the Next button.
  3. Read carefully the terms of the license agreement. Then set the switch to the I accept the terms of the License agreement position and click the Next button.
  4. Select the Server of control installation type and click the Next button.
  5. If Axxon PSIM is installed as a service, and you want to start Monitoring PSIM as a service, then set the Install Monitoring PSIM as a service checkbox and click the Next button (for more details, see General information about Monitoring PSIM PSIM as a Service).

  6. Select the MS SQL database server and specify the connection parameters. For more details, see Installation of Axxon PSIM™ as a Server/Remote Administrator's workplace. To continue the installation process, click the Next button.

    Note

    In the Select database Server from the drop-down list field, you must specify the 127.0.0.1 value of the IP address without using the computer names and local value. Otherwise, the Server of control software loses connection with its local database when the network cable is disconnected.

  7. In the Database field, specify the name of the database or select it in the list of existing databases from the right and click the << button. Click the Next button.

    Note

    By default, the name of the database is "MonitorSSTV", and its files are stored in the SQL Server folder.

  8. Click the Install button to start the installation process.

    As a result, the system starts copying the required files of Monitoring PSIM to the computer's hard disk.

  9. After the system successfully copies the Monitoring PSIM components, the message about completing the installation process is displayed. Next, click the Finish button.

Installing the Server of control software is complete.
