The order of configuring the PTZ IP cameras differs from the one for configuring other PTZ device types.

The connection with the PTZ IP cameras is performed through the local network via the TCP/IP transport protocol. Also, the common protocol of information interaction is used for all PTZ IP cameras.

To configure the Telemetry Controller object when you connect the PTZ IP camera, do the following:

  1. Go to the Hardware tab of the System settings dialog window (1).
  2. Create the Telemetry Controller system object on the basis of the Computer object, or select the corresponding object in the object tree on the Hardware tab of the System settings dialog window (2).
  3. When you create the Telemetry Controller object (3), you must specify the ID, the object name and select the server to which the PTZ device is connected.
  4. Select the data exchange protocol with the PTZ device from the list. You must select the IP camera item as the protocol (4) to exchange the data with the PTZ IP camera via the TCP/IP protocol.

    Note

When you select the IP camera item on the settings panel of the Telemetry Controller object, all other parameters become unchanged.

    Note

When you use the Bosch VG5 AutoDome 700 Series IP cameras, select the Bosch-Autodome 1.0 data exchange protocol; for the Bosch VG4 AutoDome, Bosch VG5 AutoDome 800 Series cameras, select Bosch-Autodome 4.0.

  5. To save all the changes, click the Apply button (5).

Note

The order of configuring the PTZ device object to control the PTZ IP cameras corresponds to the order of configuring the PTZ device object to control PTZ devices connected via the server's COM port.
