There is a possibility to run the Axxon PSIM software in the quiet mode (without a user interface).
Note
While the installation program is operating, it may be required to restart the system. The installation will be continued automatically after the system is restarted.
Note
When installing in invisible mode on Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2, all Windows Update updates are to be installed, then use the HotFix available at the link on the Microsoft website or here. As a result, there will be no messages about the unreliable publisher during the installation of drivers.
The redist.exe process finishing in Windows Task Manager indicates that the program has been installed.
This installation type is performed by setting setup.exe install file parameters in the OS Windows command prompt. The install file parameters are given in the table below.

Attention!
In some cases, the Bosch VideoSDK installation results in the displaying of the command prompt window, which must be closed to proceed with the installation.
Note
In the help window of the installation program, there are two examples identical in function that differ by the type of parameter entered /CMD (table above, parameter’s value /CMD).

Example of running the Axxon PSIM system installation program in a hidden mode:

As a result, the installation file setup.exe will be run with the following parameters:
- The installation program will install the Axxon PSIM software in a hidden mode (/quiet);
- Installation program language – English(/LANG="en");
- Installation type – «Administrator workstation» (/INSTALLTYPE="Admin");
- The following components aren't installed: Adobe Acrobat, Guardant drivers (/REMOVE="Acrobat Guardant_x86");
- Installation is performed with the following features (/CMD=):
- Without creating the quick launch shortcut (="CREATE_QUICKLAUNCH_SHORTCUT=\"0\");
- The Axxon PSIM software is installed as a service (INSTALL_AS_SERVICE=\"1\");
- The language of installed Axxon PSIM software is German (LANGUAGE=\"de\");
- Authentication method – «SQL authentication » (SQL_AUTHTYPE=\"Sql\");
- Login – username (SQL_USERNAME=\"username\");
- Password – pass (SQL_PASSWORD=\"pass\");
- Database server – (local)\SQLEXPRESS2014 (SQL_INSTANCE=\"(local)\SQLEXPRESS2014\");
- Main database – PSIMNew (DB_Axxon PSIM_NAME=\"PSIMNew\");
