Analysis of the video obtained from cameras is performed with the activity detector. Activity detectors are intelligent sensors that perform various functions: motion detection in the camera FOV, face recognition, lens flare detection, and more.

Each camera has its main activity detector. By default, camera arming/disarming means the main activity detector is switched on/off. An alarm event generated by the main detector is registered by the system when any movement is detected in the camera FOV. If the camera is disarmed, an alarm event isn't registered.

In addition, there are special additional detectors. These detectors, unlike the main detector, detect not only any movement in the camera FOV but also, for example, the covering or exposure of the camera lens, camera rotation, face identification, and so on.

Additionally, masks can be applied to the main and additional areas of detectors. A mask is an area of the video within which monitoring isn't performed. For example, if a mask is applied to the area of the main detector, motion control within the mask isn't performed.
