List of terms used

In the Axxon PSIM Operator's Guide the following terms are used.

1. System is a digital video surveillance and audio monitoring system based on Axxon PSIM.
2. Software is the Axxon PSIM software package.
3. Screen is a virtual object that displays various dialog boxes (Monitors, Audio players, PTZ control panels, and so on) that help the operator to work with the software.
4. Video surveillance monitor is an interface window for displaying and controlling surveillance windows.
5. Surveillance window is an interface window that displays the video image that comes from the surveillance camera. The surveillance window includes interface elements, used to control and display information messages.
6. Audio player is an interface window containing elements that allow monitoring and recording of the microphone audio signal.
7. Backup archive is a functional module used to work with the backup archive.
8. Map is an interactive graphic chart of the distributed system used to monitor and control external system devices (cameras, microphones, sensors, and relays).
9. Universal telemetry control panel is an interface window used to control external PTZ devices of the system (for example, a surveillance camera equipped with a PTZ device and connected to the system).
10. Operator query panel is an interface window containing a user set of control elements and used to control various devices and modules of the system.
11. Event Viewer is an interface window used to display information on events registered by the system (with the ability to filter the displayed data by event type)..
12. Object list is an interface window used to control the status of objects on the map.
13. Client is a computer with the Remote Administrator’s workstation type of installation of Axxon PSIM.
