Configuring the parameters of the detection tool

To configure the Handrail holding detection, do the following:

  1. Create Pose Detection (see Configuring the Human pose detector).
  2. Below the Pose Detection, click Create…  Handrail holding detection.

The Handrail holding detection generates an event if there is a person in the specified area of the frame who doesn't hold on to any of the specified handrails.

If necessary, you can change the detection tool parameters. The list of parameters is given in the table:

Number of measurements in a row to trigger detection2Specify the minimum number of frames with the corresponding pose or behavior for the detection tool to generate an event. The value must be in the range [1, 20].
The recommended (default) value is 2.
Increasing the value can help eliminate false events, but increases the risk of skips.
Decreasing the value can help reduce skips, but increases the probability of false events

To save the parameters of the detection tool, click the Apply  button. To cancel the changes, click the Cancel  button.

Configuring the detection area

To configure the detection area of the Handrail holding detection, do the following:

  1. Click in the preview window.

    Attention!

    • If lens distortion makes the handrail non-linear, use several lines to specify the handrail.
    • The presence of a person in the staircase zone is determined by their lower limbs.

Using the Handrail line, specify one or several handrails in the frame.
  2. Using the anchor points of the Staircase zone, specify the zone, in which a person must hold on to the handrail.

Note

  • For convenience of configuration, you can "freeze" the frame. Click the  button. To cancel the action, click this button again.
