To enable the archiving of the video signals, passing through the Videogate, it is necessary to select the disks for archive storing.

To select the disks for storing the archive of the Videogate module, do the following:

  1. Go to the settings panel of the Videogate system object.
  2. The names of the local (network, USB) disks, available for stroing the archive of the Videogate module are given in the Disk column (1).

    Attention!

    For Windows Vista and Windows 7 OS with UAC enabled, it’s necessary to connect the network disks via the command line with Administrator’s rights. The connection method is described in Connecting network disks in Windows Vista and Windows 7 OS.

    Note

    To use network disks as an archive, set the UNC paths to them in Intellect. For details on working with the network disks in Intellect that is installed as a Service, see Working with Windows OS services for operating Intellect™ installed as a Service.
  3. In the GB column, you can see the free space on disk in GB (2).
  4. In the Video column, set the checkboxes next to the disks, selected for storing the archive of the Videogate module (3).
  5. To add a network disk via specifying the UNC path, do the following:
    1. Go to the last line in the disks list and click the Down key.
       
    2. In the appeared line in the Disk column, enter the path to a network disk. The UNC path is set in the \\server_name\share_name format, where server_name is the name of the file server and share_name is the network name of shared folder.
    3. In the Video column, set the checkbox next to the created disk.
  6. To save the changes, click the Apply button (4).

Note

For storing the archive of the Videogate module, select the disks that are not used for storing video archive from cameras (selected in the settings panel of the Computer object). Otherwise, after saving the changes, the An error occurs during object saving window will appear.

Note

In case, when no disk is selected for storing video recordings, there is no recording of the video signals to the archive of the Videogate module.

Selecting disks for storing the archive of the Videogate module is completed.
