If it is necessary to use network disks for working with archive in Axxon PSIM™ that is installed as a Service you should add them by setting UNC path, the following way:
- Go to the last line in the list of disks and click the “↓” key.
- Set a path to the network disk in appeared line in the Disk column. UNC path is set in “\\server_name\share_name” format where the “server_name” is the name of file server and the “share_name” is the network name of public folder.
- Set the check box for created disk in the Video column.
Note.
If network disk is added not by setting the UNC path, then recording on it is unavailable in Axxon PSIM is installed as a Service mode.
Attention!
If Axxon PSIM™ is installed as a Service on Windows XP OS, it is impossible to record on network disks.
Recording on network disks in Axxon PSIM™ installed as as a Service is performed only in case when Axxon PSIM™ is started under some user (not under SYSTEM) and the user is logged in the system. When the user who belongs to the Axxon PSIMUsers group logs in the system, Axxon PSIM™ is restarted automatically on behalf of this user. Both network disks and UNC path are available for recording. If the user logs off the system, Axxon PSIM™ will restart under system account and all network disks are unavailable.
