The requirements for cameras when you work with the VI abandoned objects street detection module are given in the table.
| Camera | - Pitch angle of the camera optical axis relative to the horizontal plane:
- at least 15 degrees for the inclined method of placement.
- from 80 to 100 degrees for the ceiling placement.
- Resolution is from 640x360 to 1920×1080 pixels.
- Resolution can be:
- lower for close-up scenes (from 2 to 7 meters for cameras with standard focal lengths) without the loss of recognition quality.
- higher for scenes far from camera (from 10 meters).
- FPS is at least 25.
- Color image only
|
| Lighting | - Lighting in the scene is from 100 to 1000 lux
|
| Scene and camera angle | - Shooting distance is from 5 to 30 meters.
- People density flow is no more than one person per square meter.
- Volume of the abandoned object is three cubic decimeters or more.
- Background texture: moving, random and inhomogeneous background with contrast variations from 0.2 to 0.8
|
| Object images | - For abandoned objects, the optimal density is 100 pixels per meter.
- Resolution of the video image is at least 1280x960 pixels.
- Maximum "signal-to-noise" ratio (without the function of automatic signal amplification) is at least 42 dB.
- Image isn't noisy and isn't distorted by artifacts of the compression algorithm.
- Distortion is no more than 10%, at the edges of the frame—at a distance of one third from its center in width, height and diagonal
