You can create up to four Sensor objects on the basis of the Video capture device object in Axxon PSIM with the 4/4 sensor-relay card installed.

All Sensor objects corresponding to the sensors connected to one 4/4 sensor-relay card (interface lines with executive devices) must be created in the hardware tree on the basis of those Video capture device objects, the ADC cards of which have the sensor-relay card installed.

You must create at least one Camera object on the basis of the same Video capture device object for the sensor's operation.

If the sensor-relay card is installed on the FS-5, FS-6, FS-16 video capture card, you can create the Sensor objects on the basis of any Video capture device object within the hardware card.

If the sensor-relay card is installed on the SC3B0N16 (WS216) video capture card, you must create the Sensor objects on the basis of the Video capture device object with the 00 number of the PCI channel.

If the sensor-relay card is installed on the FS-8 video capture card, you must create the Sensor objects on the basis of the Video capture device object with the 07 number of the PCI channel.

You can change the position of Sensor objects in the Axxon PSIM object tree. To change the parent Video capture device objects for the Sensor objects, you must change the value of the Video capture device object on the settings panel of the Sensor object. The value of this parameter must correspond to the number of the Video capture device object in the object tree, on the basis of which you must place the Sensor object. When you change the Video capture device parameter on the settings panel of the Sensor object, the object is placed in the branch of child objects of the Video capture device object different from the original one.

Note

When you change the position of the Sensor objects in the objects tree, note that for the proper operation of Axxon PSIM, all Sensor objects corresponding to one sensor-relay card must be placed on the basis of one Video capture device object. You cannot place the Sensor objects in child branches of different Video capture device objects even if these objects correspond to one video capture card with the adjustable sensor-relay card connected to it.

The figure shows the example of placing the Sensor objects in the object tree when two FS-6 (or FS-16) video capture cards are used with four sensors connected to the 4/4 sensor-relay card installed on the first video capture card and two relays connected to the second one.

When you configure the Sensor objects in Axxon PSIM, you must assign the number of channels of the sensor connection (interface lines with executive devices) to the sensor-relay card in accordance with the numeration of inputs of the DI slot(s) of the sensors/relays connected to the card.

To change the channel numeration, use the Channel number list on the settings panel of the Sensor object.

When you use 4/4 sensor-relay cards, up to four channels are available for connecting sensors in accordance with the configuration of the license key.

The figure shows the example of the sensors' connection channel number distribution on the 4/4 sensor-relay card installed on the FS-6 or FS-16 video capture card (four ADCs with four corresponding Video capture device objects):

Channels of the second (next) 4/4 sensor-relay hardware card also have the numeration from the first to the fourth in accordance with the inputs of the DI slot(s) of the sensors/relays connected to the card. The example of the sensors' connection channel number distribution on the second (next) 4/4 sensor-relay card installed on the FS-6 or FS-16 video capture card (four ADCs with four corresponding Video capture device objects):
