Features of running the SL USBIO 16x8 card drivers

The startup of the SL USBIO 16x8 device drivers in Windows OS can take up to 10 minutes. To reduce this time to two minutes, use the utility to configure the USB device sensor/relay "SL USBIO 16x8" which you can download at the AxxonSoft website.

In this utility, you must set the lower value of the TimeOut PowerUp parameter for each device (the recommended value is 10—20 seconds). The utility doesn't provide the ability to select the specific device, so you must connect one SL USBIO 16x8 device to the computer in turn, disconnecting others.

You must run Axxon PSIM after completing the driver startup of SL USBIO 16x8 devices (you can control the driver status via the Windows Device Manager).

If you set the auto start of Axxon PSIM using the Auto Startup feature in Windows OS, then you must configure the delayed start of Axxon PSIM to be at least two minutes after the operating system restarts.

If Axxon PSIM starts as the Windows OS wrapper, we don't guarantee the stable operation of the SLIO USBIO 16x8 card in Axxon PSIM. In this case, we recommend selecting another way to start Axxon PSIM (see the Configuration of Axxon PSIM™ software startup section in Administrator's Guide).

Connecting relays

The Relay objects corresponding to relays connected to the SL USBIO (4x4, 16x8, and 24x4) card (executive devices) are created in the hardware tree based on the Video capture device object with the SL USBio type.

When you configure the Relay objects in Axxon PSIM, you must specify the channel numbers of the relay connection (executive devices) to the card. The channel numbers are allocated in accordance with the external pinout of the card (see Appendix 5. Electrical and technical specifications of Sensor-Relay cards).

To change the channel numeration, use the Channel number list on the settings panel of the Relay object.

Connecting sensors

The Sensor objects corresponding to sensors connected to the SL USBIO (4x4, 16x8, and 24x4) card are created in the hardware tree based on the Video capture device object with the SL USBio type.

To configure the Sensor objects in Axxon PSIM, you must specify the channel numbers of the sensor connection to the card. The channel numbers are allocated in accordance with the external pinout of the card (see Appendix 5. Electrical and technical specifications of Sensor-Relay cards).

To change the channel numeration, use the Channel number list on the settings panel of the Sensor object.
