You can start the Active Directory synchronization both after connecting the Axxon PSIM users and user rights with the corresponding Active Directory objects and when the Active Directory users and security groups are changed, for example, when the user is deleted, disabled, moved to another group, and so on.

The following methods of Active Directory synchronization are available:

  1. In the Users tab in Axxon PSIM.
  2. Using scripts and macros.
  3. Using the ADSyncOnStart registry key (see Registry keys reference guide).

To start the Active Directory synchronization in Axxon PSIM, do the following:

  1. In the Users tab (1), click the Synchronize with AD button (2).
  2. The updated structure of the Axxon PSIM users and user rights is displayed in the window that opens (3). Set the checkboxes next to the objects that need to be synchronized.
  3. Click the OK button.

To start the Active Directory synchronization using a script or a macro, use the following values: objtype = SLAVE, action = AD_SYNC. Example: SLAVE|<Server name>|AD_SYNC.
