In Axxon PSIM one can configure the synchronization of the video archive of the main and backup Servers. In this case, after restoring the main Server, the video archive will be transferred from the backup Server using the Backup archive module.

Important!

Only video records without sound are moved from backup Server to main Server at synchronization. If synchronous recording of video and audio is configured, sound will be eliminated at transmission files from backup Server to main Server, and only video files will get to the main Server.

To use the archive synchronization mechanism, create a Backup archive object under the same Computer object as the Failover service object.

Cooperation with the Failover service is to be enabled on the settings panel of the Backup archive (see Enabling cooperation of Backup archive with Failover service).
Configure synchronization on the main Server as follows:

  1. Go to the settings panel of the Computer object corresponding to the main Server.
  2. Go to the Archive synchronization tab (1).
  3. Configure the list of cameras the archive of which is be synchronized when restoring the main Server:
    1. Select the camera ID in the Number dropdown list (2).
    2. Select the camera name in the Name dropdown list (3).
    3. In the Backup archive dropdown list select the name of the Backup archive object configured to cooperate with the Failover service and located on the backup Server where the selected camera is transferred to when the main Server fails (4).

      Important!

This step is mandatory. If Backup archive is not selected, camera is not saved in the list. Configure Backup archive before configuring archive synchronization.

    4. Repeat steps a-c for all required cameras.
    5. Click the Apply button (5).

The synchronization of main and backup Servers is now completed.
