Connecting basic detection tools

The list of video detection tools is created individually for each camera.

Initially only a Main motion detection tool is registered for each camera. No other detectors are registered by default.

To connect basic video detection tools (except the main motion detection tool), do the following:

Go to the Hardware tab in the System settings dialog box (1).
Select the Camera object, corresponding to the camera to process video from which a detection tool is connected and configured, in the objects tree of the Hardware tab.
Create the Detection zone object on the base of the Camera object. The settings panel for the Detection zone object appears on the right of the Hardware tab (2).
In the Detector list, select the required type of detection tool.
When a detection tool is connected, the controls for configuring the selected detection tool are activated. Controls that are not required are disabled. With different types of detectors, the same graphics object may correspond to different settings.
The setup procedure depends on the type of detection tool. Setup sequences for different types of detection tools are described in the relevant sections.
Click the Apply button (4).

A detection tool is now connected.
