To configure displaying the Event Viewer interface box, do the following:

  1. Go to the Main tab on the settings panel of the Event Viewer object (1).
  2. Set the X (horizontally indented from screen’s left border) and Y (vertically indented from screen’s upper border) coordinates of the upper left corner of the Event Viewer interface box (2). Coordinates are set as a percentage of the corresponding screen dimensions horizontally and vertically as follows.
  3. Set the dimensions of the Event Viewer interface box: window’s width «W» and window’s height «H» (3). Dimensions are set as a percentage of the corresponding screen dimensions horizontally and vertically as follows.
  4. From the Monitor drop-down list select the number of monitor for which coordinates are specifying (4).
  5. By default the position of the Event Viewer interface box is fixed. To allow the Operator to move the Event Viewer by left-clicking on it, set the Allow moving checkbox (5).
  6. If it is necessary for the Event viewer box to be displayed on top of all windows, set the Over all windows checkbox (6).
  7. Set the background color of the Event viewer box (7).
  8. Set the text color in the Event viewer box (8).

  9. Set the color of alarm message rows in the Event Viewer interface box (9). For this, double-click upon the Color of alarm messages field. Standard Windows dialog box will open, select the required color and click OK.

    Note

    To apply the setting, the Duration of blinking, sec (11) parameter value must be different from 0.

  10. Specify the color of information message rows in the Event Viewer interface box (10). For this double-click upon the Color of info messages field. Standard Color Windows dialog box will open, select the required color and click OK.

    To apply the setting, the Duration of blinking, sec (11) parameter value must be different from 0.

  11. Enter the duration of blinking for alarm messages in seconds in the Duration of blinking, sec field of the Event Viewer interface box (11). The blink rate is 2 seconds, the blink duration is 1 second. To ensure the blinking, it is recommended to set the parameter value to at least 2.
  12. By default, when the alarm message has finished blinking, it is no longer highlighted by the alarm message color in the Event viewer box; it becomes highlighted by the color specified in the filter (see Configuring event filters for displaying in the Event viewer). To continue highlighting the message by the alarm message color after the blinking stops, set the Keep colored after blinking checkbox (12).
  13. Set the font of messages displayed in the Event Viewer interface box. For this click the Font:<current font> button (13). Standard Font Windows dialog box will open, set the font and click OK.
  14. Click the Apply button to save all the changes.

Parameters of displaying the Event Viewer interface box are now set.

Note

The display of the Event Viewer icon on the Windows taskbar is set by the ShowInTaskbar registry key (see Intellect Enterprise base version).
