Documentation for Intellect 4.11.0-4.11.3. Documentation for other versions of Intellect is available too.
The Intellect software allows creating the backup copies of video and audio recordings. The Backup archive and Backup audio archive modules are used for creation of backup multimedia archives. When making a backup copy, the Intellect software copies video and audio recordings from the main archive of the videoserver to different storage devices.
Any drive discovered in the operating system can be used for storing the Backup Archive, including local drives, network drives, LTO drives, etc.
The Backup archive module copies the video archives received from the specified cameras to any of the available local or network hard drives. Copying of audio archive from specified microphones which are included in the digital video surveillance system is performed while using the Backup audio archive software module. Archive files are copied on loop on any of connected disks as the main archive is recorded (see the General information on video archiving section)
The Backup archive module supports the following functions:
- Copying the video archive to local or network hard drives, or USB storage.
- Changing the frame rate of the signal (grooming) at the time of saving it to Backup archive.
- Changing the rate of data transfer via a local network.
- Setting up the periodicity of backup archiving.
- Cyclic copying of the data to the connected storage devices.
- Viewing the video archive from Backup archive on the video surveillance monitor.
Note.
A folder named VIDEO which holds the backup multimedia archive is created on the specified storage devices when setting up the corresponding objects.
The backup copying module can be controlled:
- Manually using special interface objects.
- Automatically using the built-in programming capabilities of Intellect software – macros and scripts.
