Documentation for Intellect 4.11.0-4.11.3. Documentation for other versions of Intellect is available too.
Intellect allows you to select the video image processing mode prior to displaying it using the video card resources and DirectX libraries.
The video image processing improves the quality of the displayed image due to optimization of the color settings, spatial smoothing, and other processes of the graphics optimization. At the same time, the CPU load is reduced, as the video image is processed with the resources of the video card.
When selecting a display mode, consider if it is supported by the installed video card. If you select a mode that is not supported by the video card, the video signal will not be displayed correctly on the Video surveillance monitor (with a strong slowdown).
There are three display modes in Intellect:
Direct3D is a recommended mode and selected by default. This mode uses the most advanced Windows graphics libraries for rendering 2D and 3D graphics. It is necessary to use this mode when displaying a video signal from fisheye cameras or a signal decoded with the Intel QuickSync technology.
Note
If the fisheye camera added to the Monitor has the corresponding settings described on the Configuring fisheye cameras page, the Monitor switches to the Direct3D mode automatically.
- DirectDraw is a deprecated version of DirectX for processing 2D graphics. The mode should be used if the capacity of the video card is not enough to process in the Direct3D mode.
- Programmed. Video signals from cameras are not processed by a video card. This mode should be used if Intellect is installed on a virtual platform (for example, VMware).
Note
To select a display mode, do the following:
- Go to the settings panel for the Monitor interface object.
Select the required display mode from the Display drop-down list in the Basic settings tab.
Note
There is a description of the selected display mode in the field below the Display drop-down list.- To save the changes, click the Apply button.
The display mode is now selected.
