Permissions and additional settings are configured as follows:

  1. Go to the the Permissions tab of the Face recognition and search object settings panel.
  2. Set the Allow face database editing checkbox (1) to make the Face DB tab available in the Face recognition and search interface and to enable adding reference faces to the reference face database.

    Attention!

    The Face Recognition Server uses the port 10000 for communication with the Face recognition and search interface object. If this port is occupied by a third-party program, errors may occur when editing the database from the client side. Make sure that the specified port is free and is not used by any other applications.

    If you can not disable the third-party application, you can change the port through which the communication is performed (port 10001 below is selected as an example). To do this, you should perform the following actions:

    1. For the Face Recognition Server: go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\ITV\INTELLECT\FRS branch of the the Windows registry and set the RestPort = 10001 string parameter.

    2. For the Face recognition and search interface object: open the C:\Program Files (x86)\Intellect\Modules\face_client.run.config file and make the following changes:

    <setting name="Port" serializeAs="String">
          <value>10001</value>
    </setting>
  3. Set the Allow creating departments checkbox (2) to allow creating the departments in Intellect with the specified name in cases when a reference face is added to the reference face database and a non-existent department is specified.
  4. From the Control monitor drop-down list (3), select the required Monitor object for the video archive playback.
  5. From the Control map drop-down list (4), select the required Map object to enable the Show on map item display in the menu of the Face recognition and search interface object (see Displaying the camera that captured the face on the map).
  6. In the URL field (5), enter the permanent part of the link for the web-page. After the image has been loaded to the face database, the name of the image file will be added to the web page address, and it will be possible to open the web page upon the face search request (see Web page opening upon a face search request).
  7. Set the Columns auto width checkbox (6) if it is necessary to automatically change the column size in the Face recognition and search interface window proportionally to the size of the interface window.
  8. Click the Additional settings button (7) to configure the recognition of additional face characteristics. As a result, the Advanced settings window opens.
    1. Set the checkboxes of the facial characteristics that should be recognized (1)
    2. Click OK (2).
    3. As a result, in the Face recognition and search interface window (see Working with the Face recognition and search interface object), the columns of the corresponding face characteristics will be displayed in the Monitoring of captured and recognized faces mode. Also, filtering by selected face characteristics will become available.
  9. To save the changes, click the Apply button (8).

Configuring permissions and additional settings is complete.
