Documentation for AxxonSoft Mobile Clients.

You can configure VLC in the UI → Camera  VLC section by enabling the following parameters:

  1. Log if you want to save the log of every app session.
  2. Warnings if you want to display errors that occurred while using the app.
  3. Hardware Decoding if you want to use the hardware video decoding.

  4. Drop late frames if you want to drop the frames that get to the video output after the expected display time.
  5. Skip frames if you want to skip a certain number of frames in an MPEG2 video stream when running on devices with limited processing power. This will reduce the CPU load and improve overall device performance by reducing the number of frames that need to be decoded and displayed.

  6. Direct rendering if you want video to be displayed without pre-processing or compression.
  7. Show corrupted frames if you want to display all visual artifacts instead of no frames. For example, if there are corruptions or errors in the video stream, the system displays all frames even if they contain distortions or incorrect data.
  8. Partially decode or skip frame(s) when there is not enough time if you want to partially decode video or skip a certain number of frames when running on devices with limited processing power.
  9. Allow speed tricks if you want to use speed methods that don't conform to a strict specification when decoding video. These methods can increase decoding speed, but they can be less reliable and error-prone.
  10. Caching if you want to cache video.
  11. No audio if you want to playback video without audio.
