You can add a camera to a cell in one of three ways:
- Using the Objects Panel.
- Using the Camera Search Panel.
- Using an interactive map.
You can add a camera to an empty cell or to a cell containing an information panel or another camera.
Note
You can add cameras from any domain to the layout (see Camera Search Panel).
You can add the same camera to several cells of the same layout.
Adding a camera using the Objects Panel
To add a camera using the Objects Panel, do the following:
- Click the mouse button to switch the cell to the active mode.
- Click a camera in the Objects Panel (see Objects Panel).
You can also drag a camera to a cell. An empty cell with a cursor in it is highlighted when you drag the camera.
To add multiple cameras to a layout, do the following:
- In the Objects panel, use the Ctrl or Shift key to select several cameras.
- Drag the cameras to the layout.
You can use the Objects Panel for adding all cameras within a group or a domain to the layout. To do it, do the following:
- Left-click the group/domain on the panel.
- Drag the group/domain to the layout.
Note
Cameras that are currently disabled won't be added to the layout.
Adding a camera using the Camera Search Panel
To add a camera to a cell, do the following:
- Click the mouse button to switch the cell to the active mode and select a camera from the list in the Camera Search Panel (see Camera Search Panel).
- Select a camera from the list in the Camera Search Panel and drag it to the layout.
Adding a camera using an interactive map
You can add a camera to a cell in one of the following ways:
- Select a camera icon on the map and drag it to a cell (see Adding video cameras).
- In live mode, right-click the camera icon and click the Copy button.
Then click an empty cell or a cell containing an information panel or another camera.Note
Changes aren't saved and the original layout will be available when you switch layouts or the next time you start the Client.
