The Autozoom function performs automatic control of digital zoom.
If a Surveillance window is inactive and autozoom is enabled, the following actions are performed:
- The smallest rectangular area that contains all tracked objects (even if object tracking is disabled, see Object tracking) is chosen.
- Maximum digital zoom is performed for the selected area.
If autozoom is enabled but there are no moving objects in the video frame, the contents of the Surveillance window are shown in their original size.
Note
If the Fit screen function is activated for a Surveillance window, the default digital zoom step is used.
Autozoom stops when a Surveillance window is selected and resumes when the Surveillance window is no longer active.
Autozoom can be enabled both for a single camera and for all video cameras in a layout.
To enable autozoom for a specific camera, in the context menu of the Surveillance window, select Enable auto zoom.
Important
Autozoom is available if:
- object tracking or Neural tracker is activated for this camera (see General information on the standard sub-detectors).
- object tracking is activated for the Motion detection tool (see Configuring the Motion detector).
- at least one of the Embedded detection tools is activated (see General information about embedded detectors).
Note
Autozoom resizing takes into account objects from all tracking sources that are activated for a particular camera.
To disable autozoom, select the corresponding command in the context menu of the Surveillance window.
To enable autozoom for all cameras in a layout, select Enable autozoom for all.
To disable autozoom for all cameras in a layout, select Disable autozoom for all.
Note
If autozoom is activated for at least one camera on a layout, by default the menu displays the Disable autozoom for all option.
When you switch to the layout editing mode, the autozoom is disabled for all cameras (see Switching to layout editing mode).
