Previous page Configuring the default archive  Configuring access restrictions to an archive Next page

You can stop writing to a certain volume of an archive. In this case, the data previously written to it will be available for viewing.

Note

This setting is useful when you need to replace the disk if it has some bad sectors, but there mustn't be any "gaps" in the archive. In this case, you must add a volume to an archive on a new disk and set the volume on the damaged disk to the Read only mode.

To do this, do the following:

  1. Set the Read only checkbox.

  2. Click the Apply button.

Writing to a specific archive volume is terminated.
