To configure the Glow detector, do the following:

  1. Go to the Detectors tab.
  2. Below the required camera, click Create…  Category: Production Safety Glow detector.

By default, the detector is enabled and set to track light sources (lamps).

If necessary, you can change the detector parameters. The list of parameters is given in the table:

ParameterValueDescription
Object features
Video streamMain streamIf the camera supports multistreaming, select the stream for which detection is needed. Selecting a low-quality video stream reduces the load on the Server
Other
EnableYesThe detector is enabled by default. To disable the detector, select the No value
No
NameGlow detectorEnter the detector name or leave the default name
Brightness threshold240Specify the sensitivity of the detector to changes in the state of the light source. You must select the required value empirically. For a dim light source, we recommend increasing the value of the parameter. The value must be in the range [0, 255]
Decoder modeAutoSelect a processing resource for decoding video streams. When you select a GPU, a stand-alone graphics card takes priority (when decoding with NVIDIA NVDEC chips). If there is no appropriate GPU, the decoding will use the Intel Quick Sync Video technology. Otherwise, CPU resources will be used for decoding

Number of frames processed per second20Specify the number of frames that the detector will process per second. The value must be in the range [0.016, 100]
Sensitivity99Specify the sensitivity of the detector as a percentage. You must select the required value empirically. The higher the sensitivity, the greater the probability of a false event. The lower the sensitivity, the greater the probability of missing an event. The value must be in the range [0, 100]
Time delta between frames100Specify the time interval between two measurements of light indication in seconds. The value must be in the range [0, 10000]
TypeGlow detectorName of the detector type (non-editable field)

To ensure that you receive accurate events from the detector, in the preview window you can specify one or more detection areas using the anchor points (see Configuring a detection area). Detection areas must be located on each light source (lamp) and their dimensions must match the dimensions of the light sources.

Note

  • For convenience of configuration, you can "freeze" the frame. Click the button. To cancel the action, click this button again.
  • The detection area is displayed by default. To hide it, click the button. To cancel the action, click this button again.

To save the parameters of the detector, click the Apply  button. To cancel the changes, click the Cancel  button.

Configuration of the Glow detector is complete.
