General information

You can specify the minimum and maximum size of detected objects both numerically and visually. Detector won't generate an event for larger or smaller objects.

Specifying the size of objects numerically

To specify the size of objects numerically, do the following:

  1. Select the Object tracker.
  2. In the settings of the Object tracker (see Configuring the Object tracker), specify the values of the parameters:
    ParameterValueDescription
Max. object height100Specify the maximum height and width of the detected object as a percentage of the height/width of the frame. The values must be in the range [0.05, 100]
    Max. object width

    Min. object height

2Specify the minimum height and width of the detected object as a percentage of the height/width of the frame. The values must be in the range [0.05, 100]

    Min. object width

    Attention!

If you enable the Object calibration parameter in the settings of the Object tracker (see Configuring perspective), you must specify the minimum and maximum size of objects in decimeters and not as a percentage of the size of the frame side.

  3. Click the Apply button. To cancel the changes, click the Cancel button.

Specifying the size of objects visually

To specify the size of objects visually, do the following:

  1. Select the Object tracker.
  2. Click the Min button and specify the minimum size of a detected object. To do this, move the anchor points of the display area.
  3. Click the Max button and specify the maximum size of a detected object.

    Note

    • By default, the maximum size is equal to the frame size, so that anchor points are located in the corners of the frame.
    • For convenience of configuration, you can "freeze" the frame. Click the  button. To cancel the action, click this button again.
    • If you click the Min and Max  buttons again, the display area hides.
  4. Click the Apply button. To cancel the changes, click the Cancel  button.

Configuration of the minimum and maximum size of detected objects is complete. The size of objects are specified for all its sub-detectors.
