Description

The Tampering detector analyzes video image to determine the nature of its change

Type of analysisDescription
Blurred image analysis

The detector generates an event when image borders aren't clear.

For example, the detector can generate an event when the image is blurred because of a dirty lens

Compression artifacts analysisThe detector generates an event when compression artifacts appear in the image
Image noise analysis

The detector generates an event when noise appears in the image.

For example, the detector can generate an event when the bitrate is low or the image is rippled (snow)

Quality degradation analysis

The detector generates an event when there is a degradation in the quality of the image received from the camera.

For example, the detector can generate an event when there is lens flare, severe defocusing, when camera lens closes, or when there is an abrupt decrease in image lighting

Scene change analysisThe detector generates an event when the background of the image changes, indicating a change in the position of the camera in space
