Documentation for Axxon One 2.0. Documentation for other versions of Axxon One is available too.
In some cases, video from a camera can go into several different archives.
For example, video from Detection tool 1 is recorded into Archive 1, and video from Detection tool 2 is recorded into Archive 2.
For such cases, Axxon One provides a visual combination of records from different archives.
To view a combined archive, do the following:
- Go to the archive selection menu (see Selecting an archive).
- Set the checkboxes next to the archives that you want to combine.
As a result, records from the selected archives appear on the timeline. All system functions are available for working with the combined archive.
Note
When you click a particular archive, you go to viewing videos from this archive only.
If you select multiple archives for a particular camera, and then switch the layout to the Archive mode (see Switching to the Archive mode), all cameras will be set to multi-archive display.
When combining multiple streams from the same camera into one archive, the highest quality stream is prioritized.
For example, if:
- a lower quality video stream is permanently recorded into Archive 1,
- and a high-quality video stream is recorded into Archive 2 when events are received from the Detection tool,
then the combined archive consists of high-quality videos of the moments when an event is received from the Detection tool and of low-quality videos recorded at other times.
