Scanning Capturing fingerprints using the in Access Manager module and with Suprema readers is performed in the following way:carried out as follows:
- Open the Access Manager window (see Starting and stopping the Access Manager module).
- Go to user editing (see Going to user editing).
- Right-click the user's photo in the Access Manager window and select Extensions.
- Select Suprema Host Controller or Suprema Slave Controller to use the reader connected to the corresponding controller (for information on configuring the readers see Configure the interaction between the Suprema Biometrical ACS and the Access Manager module).
In both cases, the Suprema scanner window dialog will open. - Click Add
The existing fingerprints are displayed in the (1)
to start scanning. - Put finger on reader and hold for a while, then repeat with the same finger.
list. The first two fingerprints highlighted in bold will be written to the Suprema controller. To delete a fingerprint, select it in the list and click Remove (2). To delete all user fingerprints, click Remove all (3).
Click Add (4) to start capture. The capture dialog will open.
Configure the capture parameters:
- Select the minimum quality of the fingerprint image in the Quality dropdown list (1). The system will attempt to capture the fingeprint until the resulting image has the given quality.
- Select minimum similarity level of the fingerprints in the Security Level dropdown list (2). The system will attempt to scan the second fingerprint until the resulting image matches the first one to a given level.
Click Start Capturing (3).The scanned fingerprint will appear in the scanner window. You may click Remove/Remove all (2, 3) to remove the scanned data.
Info title Note You can take several attempts to scan the fingerprint, but only the first two fingerprints in the list will be written to controller.
- Put finger on reader and wait until two copies of a fingerprint are captured. The fingerprint image is displayed in the corresponding area as soon as it is captured (1).
- To finish capture, click OK (2Click OK (4).
- Click Save (51) in the user editor to add the fingerprint to the user account.
