Axxon PSIM software package allows storing audio archive (recorded with the video archive) on hard disks (see   Setting up the audio and video synchro recording). So, it is necessary to provide space for storing not only video recordings, but also audio recordings recorded synchronously, on the hard disk. Information on how to calculate the required disk space for storing the video archive is given in Free disk space (video archive size) required section.

The formula for calculating the depth of the video archive recorded synchronously with the audio archive is given below (to find info about frame size see  Free disk space (video archive size) required):

Depth of video and audio archive (day) = Hard disk space (GB) / ((k (s/day* GB/Kb) * Frame size(Kb) * Frame rate (fps) * Number of cameras) + Volume of audio recording per day (GB/day) * Number of audio channels)
