General information

This action checks recorded video if there is at least one recording interval in the archive from a specific particular camera or a group of cameras for the specified period. 

Configuring an action

To configure this action, do the following:

  1. Go to the Programming tab.
  2. In the Event rules or Cycle rules list, click Create... (see Configuring macros).
  3. Select a start condition that triggers Configure the conditions to start a macro (see see Configuring start conditions)..
  4. Click the Image Added button below start conditions.
  5. From the drop-down list, select Check that archive record exists.
  6. In the Camera parameter, select Select a camera or a group of cameras to check if there is a record in the archive (1).

    If a macro is started initiated by an event from an an input or output (see Configuring start conditions) that is not connected to any camera, you need to select a specific camera herefor this action. If you select a group of cameras or a camera that initiated the commandmacro, the action doesn't start.

  7. Select In the Record to parameter, select an archive where in which you want to check if recorded video is available (2)that archive record exists. If you leave the field emptyblank, all recorded video in this camera archives will be checked.the check is performed in all archives associated with this camera.
  8. In the Depth of check parameter, specify Specify the depth of archive check (3). The check time period covers : [the time of the action start - (minus) the depth of the check; start time of the action].
  9. Select In the Execute if video in archive parameter, select an action if the archive record for the specified period is found (4).Select
  10. In the Execute if no video in archive parameter, select an action if the archive records record for the specified period are not found (5)isn't found.
