To configure create the People counter detector, do the following:

  1. Create

  3. see Configuring the Human pose detector).
  4. Below the Human pose detector,
    5. click 
  5. click Create… → People counter.

The People counter counts detector counts the number of people in the specified area using the metadata of the Human pose detector.

An event, on the basis of which a macro can be started (see Configuring start conditions), can be generated if the number of people in the frame meets the specified conditions.

Number of measurements in a row to trigger detection

Specify the minimum number of frames with the set number of people for the detection tool detector to generate an event.   The value must be in the range [1, 20].
The recommended (default) value is is 2.
Increasing the value can help eliminate false events , but increases the risk of skips. 
Decreasing the value can help reduce skips, but increases the probability of false events

If necessary, you can configure the detection area. For this, do the following:

  1. Click in the preview window.
  2. Select Area of people counting.

  3. Set the detection area using the anchor points Image Added. You can create multiple areas.

Configuration of the People counter is complete.

In the Surveillance window on the layout next to the counter icon, you can add text and the number of people counted by the detection tool detector (see Displaying the number of detected objects).
