When you select a display mode, consider if it is supported by the installed video card. If you select a mode that is not supported by the video card, the video signal will not be displayed correctly on the Video surveillance monitor (with a strong slowdown).
There are three four display modes in Axxon PSIM:
Direct3D - Opengl is
a recommended mode and - selected by default. This mode uses the most advanced Windows graphics libraries for rendering 2D and 3D graphics.
- Direct3D (recommended). This mode uses the most advanced Windows graphics libraries for rendering 2D and 3D graphics. You must use this mode when displaying a video signal from fisheye cameras or a signal decoded with the Intel QuickSync technology.

If the fisheye camera added to the Monitor has the corresponding settings described on the Configuring fisheye cameras page, the Monitor switches to the Direct3D mode automatically. |
- DirectDraw is a deprecated version of DirectX for processing 2D graphics. You must use this mode if the capacity of the video card is not enough to process in the Direct3D mode.
- Software. Video signals from cameras are not processed by a video card. You must use this mode if Axxon PSIM is installed on a virtual platform (for example, VMware).
