To configure create the People counter detector, do the following:

  1. Create

  4. Below the Human pose detector,
    5. click 
  5. click Create… → People counter.

People counter counts the number of people in the specified area using the metadata of the Human pose detector.

An event, on the basis of which a macro can be started (see Configuring start conditions), can be generated if the number of people in the frame meets the specified conditions.

Number of measurements in a row to trigger detection

Specify the minimum number of frames with the set number of people for the detection tool detector to generate an event. The  The value must be in the range [1, 20].
The recommended (default) value is is 2.
Increasing the value can help eliminate false events, but increases the risk of skips. 
Decreasing the value can help reduce skips, but increases the probability of false events

Start value of alarm range settings5Specify the range of the number of people in the frame. The value must be in the range [0, 100]

By default, the entire frame is the area for detection. In  In the preview window, you can specify the areas for detection using the anchor points  (see Configuring a detection area).

To save the parameters of the detection tooldetector, click the Apply  button. To cancel the changes, click the Cancel  button.

Configuration of the People counter is complete.

In the Surveillance window on the layout next to the counter icon, you can add text and the number of people counted by the detection tool detector (see Displaying the number of detected objects).
