To select the plates' identifying mode by «CARMEN-Auto» module do the following:

  1. In the System Settings dialog window, open the Hardware tab (Fig. 7.3—7, 1).
  2. Select the LPR channel, corresponding to the activated CARMEN-Auto program module in the objects tree on the Hardware tab (see. «Program module activation, used for Plates identification»).The settings panel of the selected object will open on the right side of the window (Fig. 7.3—7, 2).

  1. Select one of the following value from the Country list(Fig. 7.3—7, 3):
    1. «Arabic characters» (7.2.8.16)» - for recognizing and identifying the plate's type, corresponding to Arabic countries.
    2. «Guatemala (7.2.7.103)» - for recognizing and identifying the plate's type corresponding to Guatemala.
    3. «Latin characters» (7.2.8.19) » - for recognizing and identifying the plate's type, corresponding to all European countries, including Russia.
    4. «Mongolian characters» (7.2.7.86) » - for recognizing and identifying the plate's type, corresponding to Mongolia.
    5. «Common characters» (7.2.7.108) » - for recognizing all the Latin characters of the plates (for example, relevant to such counties as Argentina, India, Africa and Singapour). The country recognition function is not used.
    6. «Common characters – quick (7.2.7.62) » - for recognizing all the Latin characters of the plates in a rapid mode (for example, relevant to such counties as Argentina, India, Africa and Singapour). This value is a rapid variant of «Common characters (7.2.7.108) », but it is more sensitive to the quality of the image. Recommended to use only in optimal conditions as the recognition rate may decrease with a bad quality of the image.
    7. «Korea» (7.2.7.68) » - for recognizing and identifying the plate's type, corresponding to Korea.
    8. «Thai characters» (7.2.7.92)» - for recognizing and identifying the plate's type, corresponding to Thailand.
    9. «Persian characters» (7.2.8.10)» - for recognizing and identifying all Iran characters of the plates.
    10. «South America» (7.2.7.116) » - for recognizing and identifying the plate's type, corresponding to countries of South America, such as Uruguay, Brasil, Chilie, Argentina, Paraguay.
    11. «USA» (7.2.8.16 )» - for recognizing and identifying the plate's type, corresponding to USA.
    12. «Taiwan (7.2.8.16)» - for recognizing and identifying the plate's type, corresponding to Taiwan.
    13. Morocco (7.2.7.111) – for recognizing and identifying the plate's type, corresponding to Morocco.

Note 1. The counties recognition functional is realized in the Auto-Intellect PC only for «Auto-Uragan 3.5.0.29» and «CARMEN-Auto» modules.
Note 2. The countries recognition functional for the «CARMEN-Auto» module is realized only when the values Latin characters (7.2.8.19)» or Arabic characters are selected (7.2.8.16)».

  1. Click Apply (Fig. 7.3—7, 4).

Selecting the plates' identifying mode by «CARMEN-Auto» module is completed.
