For the Traffic violations detection module operation program module for identifying the plates and that is being set up is required (see «Activating the program module, used for identifying the plates» section).
The Traffic violations detection object is created on the basis of LPR channel object (see Fig. 7.2—30).

To set the Traffic violations detection module, do the following:

  1. Go to Traffic violations detection setting tab (see Fig. 7.2—31).

Fig. 7.2—31 Setting up the Traffic violations detection module

  1. In «Traffic lights signal» dropdown list select «Sensor» object (see Intellect software package: Administator's guide) by signal of which the light of traffic light is detected (see Fig. 7.2—31, 1).

Note. Information about «Sensor» object is presented in the «Intellect Software Package. Administrator's Guide». Information about «Traffic Light Detection» is presented in The Traffic Light Detection software module setup section.

  1. Set the «Draw stop line» checkbox if it's necessary to overlay a stop line before the traffic light (see Fig. 7.2—31, 2).
  2. Set up the stop line displaying:
  3. Click «Stop line settings» (see Fig. 7.2—31, 3). The window of the same name opens (see Fig. 7.2—32).

Fig. 7.2—32 Frame selection

  1. Click «Stop video» to set the stop line (see Fig. 7.2—32). As the result the frame on which it's necessary to set the stop line, is displayed (see Fig. 7.2—33).

Fig. 7.2—33 Stop line setting

  1. Set the stop line. To set the stop line, click the road edge in the image, press the left mouse button, drag the cursor to another edge of the road in the video frame (see Fig. 7.2—33).
  2. Click OK (see Fig. 7.2—33).
  3. In the «Delay in violation registering» field enter time (in milliseconds) that determines the time interval after which after switching on a red light the violations will fix (see Fig. 7.2—31, 4).
  4. Enter the number of frames that will be saved in database in the «The number of frames to save» field at the running a red light (seeFig. 7.2—31, 5). Only 10 frames are saved in database in case of value more than 10 is specified.
  5. Enter time (in milliseconds) that determines the time interval of frames for saving in the «Frame saving interval» field at the running a red light (see Fig. 7.2—31, 6).
  6. From the Type of violation drop-down list select the type of traffic violation that will be specified in the caption to the alarm while the Stop violation is registered (Fig. 7.2—31, 7).

Note. The following violation types are available: Stop over stop line and Stop over crosswalk line

  1. Enter the number of frames that will be saved in database in the «The number of frames to save» field when the Stop violation is registered (seeFig. 7.2—31, 8).
  2. Enter time (in milliseconds) that determines the time interval of frames for saving in the «Frame saving interval» field when the Stop violation is registered (see Fig. 7.2—31, 9).

Attention! For correct operation of synchronized frames recording set the checkbox in "Automatic recording" on "LPR channel"object setting panel and set value of time that is bigger than the product of "Number of frames for saving"and "Interval of frame saving" parameter points.

  1. To save the changings click «Apply» (see Fig. 7.2—31, 10).
