This section provides information on the main basic user functions of the distributed digital video and audio surveillance system based on the INTELLECT™ software.
The INTELLECT™ software provides the following basic user functions:
Video surveillance functionality
- Multiple camera/video servers split screen image simultaneously displayed on a single PC monitor.
- Priority-oriented automatic selection of displayed video images from alarm or active cameras to bring the required scenes into Operator focus (selection of images depending on set parameters).
- Flexible split screen configuration including the number of sources observed.
- Priority window magnification (surveillance windows), magnified surveillance windows slideshow option for a selected camera.
- Color coding of surveillance window (camera) state: “armed”, “alarm”, “recording”, etc.
- Remote access to audiovisual streams from any workplace with both local and remote archive recording option.
- Video recording can be performed:
- continuously;
- on schedule;
- on alarm with a pre-event recording option or by Operator’s command.
- Pre-event video recording.
- Freeze frame by Operator’s command selection and viewing, without interruption of the recording.
- Image burn-in option.
- Current time;
- Current date;
- Camera No (ID).
- Recording by Operator’s command.
- Real time viewing of images from video cameras.
- Priority-oriented viewing of critical video stream based on alarm detection.
- Web interface-based surveillance.
- Audio- and video-archive management.
- Viewing of recorded video with search and retrieve options (time/event type/camera ID criteria).
- Synchro playback of footage recorded by several cameras.
- Recorded time calculation.
- Timestamp based footage search.
- Image processing:
- Digital zooming;
- Contrast maximizing;
- Image sharpening;
- masking;
- Dynamic outlining.
- Management of end devices using:
- the 3rd party programmable interface panel;
- the universal control panel for end devices;
- a PC mouse;
- a joystick.
- Viewing video server footage from any system workplace using the TCP/IP communications environment.
- Storage and exporting of single frames and video sequences.
- Integrated use of various types of multi-zone detectors:
- main motion detector;
- motion;
- focus loss;
- video signal stability;
- changes in the image background;
- light-struck camera lens;
- closing camera lens;
- abandoned items;
- infra-red
- Detector zone(s) masking.
- Image de-interlacing.
- Analog video-signal output.
Audio monitoring functionality
- Audio monitoring.
- Audio and video synchro recording.
- Sound activated audio recording.
- Audio recording by Operator’s command.
- Exporting audio recordings.
Structuring guarded objects
- Virtual subdividing of guarded objects.
- Multilevel hierarchical object mapping to obtain:
- Automatic switching and recursive structural event analysis possibility;
- Graphical representation of active objects on the map (on different levels) for simple device control via the shortcut menu.
Event registration functionality
- Event log maintenance.
Notification functionalities
- Automatic notification using:
- SMS (Short Message Service);
- email;
- V-dial auto dialing service;
- Audible/voice notification.
Functions of workability control
- Software control of workability - the “Restarting system service” object.
- Hardware control of workability - Watchdog
Management functionality
Macro commands programming of user specific functions.
Integration of the distributed video surveillance and audio monitoring system
- Remote interaction of the software cores and automated replication of internal databases (containing system setup parameters and data about the events registered in the system) between Servers and Remote workstations that are the components of the distributed digital video surveillance system.
- Creating the integrated database of system setup parameters and registered events, followed by their processing in compliance with standards and specialized adjustable algorithms, including generation of notifications and system responses.
- Software-rogrammable optimization of video data flows within the distributed digital video surveillance system when there is a lack of channel capacity (optional videogate functionality).
