The archive can be imported from external storages to Intellect file system. The archive is imported as follows:

  1. Import to the Backup archive. The archive can be recorded onto several drives/partitions. When a camera is connected and the archiving is started the Backup archive requests the archive for the entire period later the date/time of the latest synchronization from the external storage. This information is derived from indexes.
To configure import to the Backup archive, select and configure cameras for copying to the Backup archive – see the Selecting and configuring the cameras for the Backup archive section, as well as set the schedule for archive copying when the connection is lost - see Configuring the schedule of the video archive copying.
  2. Import to the Main video server archive. There is a limitation – recording is performed onto one drive/partition. Video server always records the main archive. When a camera is connected, recordings for the entire period later the date/time of the latest synchronization are requested from the external storage. Synchronization date and time are stored in the  settings.xml file in the VIDEO folder.

In both cases the archive is recorded to the external storage only when it is disconnected from the Server in order to avoid duplicate video.

Import from external storages is enabled as follows:

  1. Go to the settings panel of the External panel object.
  2. Set the Sync archive with file system checkbox checked (1).
  3. Click the Apply button to save changes (2).

Import from external storages is now enabled.
