A motion in the area detector is a tracker detector that operates when the object (objects) makes some actions in a virtual area that is in the camera coverage.  

To configure a motion in the area detector, do the following:

  1. Go to the settings panel for a VMDA detection object.
  2. Click the Add area button (1).
  3. In the  Video preview field (3), set, by one by one clicking left mouse button, nodal points of the area which state is to be analysed.Only one area can be added. If there is an attempt to add a second area, the first one will be deleted.
  4. Make necessary operations with an area. Area operations are shown in the table.

    Line deletion.  If there are three nodal points the whole area will be deleted

  5. To select an object type for which the detector will trigger, click the  symbol. Available object types are given below.

    1.  Any object. Detector triggers while dealing with any object
    2.  Man. Detector triggers while dealing with any man
    3.  Vehicle. Detector triggers while dealing with any vehicle
  6. To select a detector type, click the  symbol. Available detector types are given below.

    1.  Any motion in the area. Detector triggers due to any motion in the area

    2.  Entrance into the area. Detector triggers due to object’s entrance into the area

    3.  Exit from the area. Detector triggers due to the exit of object from the area

    4.  Appearance in the area. Detector triggers due to the object’s appearance in the area

    5.  Disappearance from the area. Detector triggers due to the object’s disappearance from the area

    6.  Stop in the area. Detector triggers due to the object’s stop in the area

    7. Precense in the area for more than 10sec. Detector triggers due to the object’s precense in the area for more than 10sec

    8. Abandoned item. Detector triggers due to the item abandoned in the area

  7. If the alarm is to be generated when the detector triggers, set the Generate alarm on camera checkbox (4).
  8. To save the changes, click the Apply button (5).

Note.

 To clear the preview field from a visual element (area), click the Clear button (2).

A motion in the area detector is now configured.
