The forensic search in an archive is a search of video recordings in the archive using video recording metadata. The forensic search of video recordings in an archive is performed by object parameters that get into the field of video camera vision, e.g. in the direction of the object motion.
Note.
As metadata is stored in the object trajectories DB (VMDA DB) during recording the archive, forensic search in the archive imported from the external storage is not performed. Information on how to export archive from edge storage is given in Configuring the access to the archive in edge storage section.
The following tools are used in INTELLECT™ for the forensic search: Line Crossing and Motion in the Area that are available in the video surveiilance window. Working with these tools is described in details in the Operator's Guide manual.
To implement the functionality of the forensic search in INTELLECT™ it is necessary to create and configure the following objects:
- VMDA metadata storage (see Creating and configuring VMDA metadata storage);
- Tracker (see Creating and configuring the Tracker object).
It is possible to create VMDA detection tools on the base of the Tracker object (see Creating and configuring VMDA detection). If VMDA detection tools are configured, the archive recordind can start on these detections triggering. When recording is enabled, the Tracker object records all motion paths of objects that it has detected, regardless of whether the VMDA detection tools are created on its base or not.
