Operations with the objects, added to the layer

The Map editor utility toolbar is shown on the figure:

The Map editor utility enables to carry out the following operations with the objects, added to the layer (see the table).

Edit map utility enables to carry out the operations with a group of objects. For selecting the several objects it is necessary to hold the Ctrl key on the keyboard.

Note.

 Operation Object position with a group of objects is not performed.

Editing the additional data and type of object’s displaying

Editing the additional data and type of object’s displaying is done in the following way:

  1. Select an object that is to be edited.  Green-pointed frame will appear around the image in result.
  2. Call for Edit object dialog window of Edit map utility by one of the three ways:
    1. Carry out the command of the main menu Operations with objects -> Edit object;
    2. Click  button on the toolbar;
    3. Carry out the Edit command of the context menu (is called by clicking the right mouse button over the object’s image).
  3. The type of the selected object is automatically displayed in the field Object’s type (1).
  4. Identification number of the selected number is automatically displayed in the field Identifier (2).
  5. Change the type of object’s displaying with the help of the switch Displaying type when necessary (3, see the table).

  6. Change  object’s additional data in the field Comment when necessary (4).
  7. To save the changes click OK (5).

Editing the additional data and type of object’s displaying is completed.

Editing the font, color or background of object’s name

Editing the font, color or background of object’s name is done in the following way:

  1. Select object’s name which font or color should be edited. Green-pointed frame will appear around the image in result.
  2. Open the Properties panel (see Editing object properties using the Properties panel).
  3. In the Color field select the object's name font color (1).
  4. In the Background color field select the object's name background color (2).
  5. Click ... in the Font field (3). The standard Windows dialog window Font of the Map edit utility is opened. This dialog box can also be called by main menu command Operations with objects > Set the font
  6. In the opened dialog window set the required font or color parameters.
  7. Click Ok to save the changes

Editing the font, color or background is over.

Editing the object’s size

Editing the object’s size is done in the following way:

  1. Select the object which size should be edited. Green-pointed frame will appear around the image in result.
  2. Call for a Object’s size dialog window of Edit map utility by the main menu command Operations with objects > Object’s size.
  3. Enter the size of the image: fields Width(sign’s  width) and Height (sign’s height)– 1, 2. Sign’s size is expressed in pixels.

    Note.

     If 0 value is entered in the fields Width and Height , object’s sign will be displayed in original size.
  4.  Click Ok to save the changes (3)

Editing the object’s size is completed.

Editing the object’s position

Editing the object’s position with the help of Position of object dialog window is done in the following way:

  1. Select object, which position should be edited.
  2. Call for a dialog window  Position of object  Of Map Edit utility by one of the two ways:
    1. Carry out the command of the main menu Operations with objects > Object’s position ;
    2. Carry out the command of the context menu Object’s position (is called by clicking the right mouse over the object’s image).
  3. Enter the coordinates of object’s center: fields X (horizontal indent from the left border of graphic plan) and Z (horizontal indent from the bottom border of graphic plan) (1-2). To set the coordinates in pixels the switch should be set to In pixels position (3), to set the coordinates in meters – the switch should be set to In meters position (4).

    Note.

    The switch position In Meters is actual in case, when set the real parameters of the guarded object, to which this layer corresponds. (see. Creating the layers of the interactive map).

  4. Enter the angle in degrees of object’s image turn on the Angle (degree) field. The angle is set  counterclockwise from contour line (5).
  5. To save the applied changes click OK (6).

Note.

In case when at least one coordinate oversteps the bounds of the map, message window will be displayed. Click OK and then repeat step 3.

Editing the object’s position with the help of Object’s position dialog window is completed.

Map edit utility also enables to edit the object’s position with the help of the mouse.

To set the position of the symbol, click and hold the mouse on the symbol. Then drag the symbol to the desired location and release the mouse.

 

To rotate the symbol, click and release the mouse on the symbol. The symbol will be enclosed in a frame made of green dots. Click and hold the mouse on one of the corner dots. A bended arrow will appear. Move the mouse in the desired direction to rotate the symbol and release the mouse.

Editing color and transparency (polygon and ellipse)

Edit color and transparency of objects added to the map as polygons and ellipses as follows:

  1. Open the Properties panel (see Editing object properties using the Properties panel).
  2. In the dropdown list select the fill color of the polygon or ellipse (1).
  3. Set the degree of transparency of the polygon or ellipse in the normal state (2). The smaller the number, the higher the degree of transparency. 0 corresponds to full transparency, 255 - full opacity.
  4. In the dropdown list select the fill color of the polygon or ellipse in case of alarm (3).
  5. Set the degree of transparency of the polygon or ellipse in the alarm state (4). The smaller the number, the higher the degree of transparency. 0 corresponds to full transparency, 255 - full opacity.
  6. If the frame framing the polygon is to be hidden, then set the value to True in the Hide frame field (5).

Adding apexes to polygon or polyline

Add apexes of object icon as follows:

  1. Call the context menu of the object icon by right clicking and holding the Ctrl key in the polygon area or on polyline.
  2. Select Add apex.
  3. Select the required position of a new apex and left-click.
  4. The apex will be added to the polygon.

Apexes of object icon are now added.

To remove the apex, right-click it holding the Ctrl key and select Remove apex.

Setting order of displaying objects on map

The order of displaying object icons when they are laid over can be set. For this:

  1. Open the Properties panel of the required object (see  Editing object properties using the Properties panel).
  2. Set the value of the Drawing order parameter. Icons with bigger value of this parameter will be displayed over icons with smaller value.

The order of displaying objects on map is now set.

Configuring object states displaying

By default if the object is in several states at the same time, the device icon changes according to these states in a short time, and when the object is selected on the map all its states are displayed as the thumbnails next to it (see Graphic objects on the Map section in Operator's Guide).

It is possible to disable displaying states thumbnails. For this:

  1. Open the Properties panel for the required object (see  Editing object properties using the Properties panel).
  2. To disable the display of the thumbnails, select the True value in the Show states successively dropdown list. To enable their display, select the False value in this dropdown list.

The display of the state of objects is configured.
