The objects are attached to the layers on the interactive map with the use of Map editor utility.

Note

To open the Map editor utility window click Edit layer button in the settings panel of the Layer object (see Creating the layers of the interactive map).

Attach the objects to the layers of the interactive map as follows:

  1. Activate the New object dialog window of the Map editor utility in one of three possible ways:
    1. Execute instruction of the Objects operations -> New object main menu.
    2. Click button on the tools panel.
    3. Execute instruction of the New object context menu (is activate with the right mouse click upon any graphical area).
  2. Select the required object in the objects tree of the New object dialog box (1).

    Note

    If the objects tree is to be refreshed, click the Refresh tree button (2).

    Note

    Objects added to some layer of a map will be in bold in the objects tree when clicking the Set (3) button. When selecting the object in the tree of Position dropdown list, all maps and layers on which the selected object will be added will be displayed (4).

    Note

    To search the object by the name or part of the name specify the info in the Search field (5) and click the Find button (6).

  3. As a result the name of the selected object is automatically displayed in the Name field (5).
  4. Set the dimensions of object’s symbol: fields Width (symbol’s width) and Height (symbol’s height) – See 4. Symbol’s dimensions are expressed in pixels.

    Note

    When value "o" is set in the fields Width and Height, object’s symbol is displayed in its original size.

  5. Set the required checkboxes checked in the Type of display group (7). If several types are selected, then several icons of the selected object will be added to the map. These icons can then be removed and edited independently of one another.

Note

 The object symbol is automatically displayed in the Preview field in accordance with the selected type of display (8).
  1. Set additional information about the object if necessary in the field  Comment (9).
  2. Click Paste button or press Insert on the keyboard to attach object to the layer of interactive map (10).
  3. Repeat steps2-7  for all the required objects.
  4. Click Close button to close New object dialog window (11).

Attachment of objects to the layers of interactive map is over.
