The Tag & Track function allows a PTZ camera to follow a moving object based on the trajectories obtained by a conventional stationary video camera using the Tracker object. Thus, first create and configure the following objects in the Intellect software package to use Tag & Track function:

  1. PTZ camera (see Configuring PTZ IP cameras).
  2. Conventional (stationary) video camera with Tracker object under it (see Creating and configuring the Tracker object).

Configure Tag&Track as follows:

  1. Create the Tag&Track object under the Camera (not the PTZ one!).

    Note.

If the camera is linked to a PTZ device, creating a Tag&Track object will not be available. If you first create this object, then link the camera with a PTZ device, then the settings for the Tag&Track object will not be available.

  2. From the PTZ drop-down list, select the PTZ Device object linked with the PTZ camera to be used for objects tracking (1).
  3. Select a line in the table (2).
  4. Click Edit (3). The Settings dialog box opens.
  5. Click a point on a video image from the stationary camera (on the left). As a result, the X and Y fields are filled with this point coordinates (4).
  6. Move the PTZ camera so that the green cross in the center of it is centered on the same point as selected on the stationary camera. Use Up, Down, Left and Right buttons to control camera movement, and + and - to zoom in and out (5).
  7. Click Request PTZ (6).
  8. The PAN, TILT, ZOOM fields are filled with the PTZ camera coordinates (7).
  9. Click OK (8). The coordinates are displayed on the Tag & Track object settings panel.
  10. Repeat steps 2-8 at least 5 times for different points on the video image. It is recommended to add as much points as possible.
  11. Click Apply.

Configuring Tag&Track is completed.
