Table describes the settings parameters of the Camera object.

The Name field *

Enter the value in the field

Set the name of the Camera object in the system

A line representing a sequence of any symbols (letters, digits, service characters apart from > and < symbols), not case-sensitive.

Number of symbols – from 1 to 60.

The Region drop-down list

Is selected from the list

Assigns the Section structural element, to which the given Camera object refers.

Name of the  Section objects registered in the system.

Section

Depends on the number of created Section objects registered in the system.

The Disable checkbox

Is set with a checkbox

Set the status (enabled or disabled) of the Camera object in the system.

Yes – the Camera object is disabled and is not in use.

No – the Camera object is enabled and is in use.

The Video Capture Device drop-down list

Is selected from the list

Set the parent Video Capture Device object for the given Camera object.

Name of the Video Capture Device objects registered in the system.

Name of the parent Video Capture Device object.

Depends on the number of the Video Capture Device objects in the system.

The Video box

Left-click

Displays video with settings.

A webpage of Web server of IP device appears in default browser when pressing and holding Shift (not available in Internet Explorer).

The Channel number drop-down list

Is selected from the list

Defines the number of the channel used to connect a video camera to the video capture card. Corresponds to the BNC-adapter number.

The Resolution drop-down list

Is selected from the list

Set the resolution of the frame.

List of available resolutions of the frames.

The Recording quality slider

The slider is set in the required position

Set the quality of the recorded frame.

Is a value reciprocal to the level of video signal compression.

Min – maximum compression level and the lowest video signal quality.

Max – the lowest compression level and the highest video signal quality.

The Color checkbox

Is set with a checkbox

Set the type of video image received from the camera (color or black and white)

Yes – the video will be color.

The YUV 4:2:2 checkbox

Is set with a checkbox

Set the format of the video signal color image.

Boolean type

Yes – the video signal will be displayed in the YUV 4:2:2 format.

No – the video signal will be displayed in the YUV 4:2:0 format.

The Color slider

The slider is set in the required position

Set the color saturation of the colored video


From  maximum color saturation to a black and white video.

The Brightness-Contrast checkbox

Is set with a checkbox

Set the mode for setting brightness and contrast of the video

Types of modes for setting brightness and contrast of the video

Automatic

Automatic (Position 1***)  - brightness and contrast are set automatically.

Manual (Position 2***)  - brightness and contrast are set manually.

Manual setting with automatic optimization (Position 3***)  - brightness and

contrast are set manually and followed by automatic optimization.

The Brightness slider

The slider is set in the required position

Set the video brightness

From maximum brightness (white video) to minimum brightness (black video)

Average

Max – corresponds to the maximum brightness of the video.

Min – corresponds to the minimum brightness of the video.

The Contrast slider

The slider is set in the required position

Set the minimum object size triggering the main motion detector.

Set threshold of camera’s sensivity to motion depending on the change of object’s brightness. Delta frame of video signal is created by this criterion.

The Store at least group

The Store at least field

Enter the value in the field

Set the time period for keeping the video archive from the camera and also audio archive(with the synchro records) on the Server. Parameter allows saving the large archive for selected camera due to size of other cameras archive.

Note. It is better to set the Store at least parameter not for more than 30% of cameras as this setting is a RECOMMENDED one. If there is not enough space for recording the archive, the setting is ignored and recording is not stopped anyway.

If more than 10 cameras are created in the system, then while attempting to set this parameter for more than 30% of cameras in the system, the corresponding warning appears after the Apply button is pressed. It can be disabled using the NotifyAbout_arch_days registry key (see Registry keys reference guide).
