SIP-devices are IP devices, mainly intercoms and call panels, connected to Intellect via the Session Initiation Protocol (SIP).

The Intellect can act both as a server and as a SIP client, and the Intellect's SIP client can use either third-party Asterisk software or Intellect's SIP server as a SIP server.

SIP-devices are configured on the settings panel of the SIP-terminal object created on the basis of the Computer object on the Hardware tab of the System Settings dialog box, and also on the settings panel of its child objects — SIP-operator and SIP-device.

The SIP-terminal (both server and client) is configured in the following order:

  1. Select the terminal type.
  2. Specify the terminal network settings.
  3. Create and configure the objects corresponding to the SIP-devices.
  4. Create and configure the objects corresponding to the SIP-device operators.
  5. Configure the special numbers of the terminal.
  6. Configure the numbers of the terminal.
  7. If necessary, create and configure the macros to work with the SIP-devices.
  8. Configure the interface objects to work with the SIP-devices.
  9. Configure the SIP Panel interface object to work with the SIP-devices.

Note

Despite the general configuration procedure, the steps 2-4 are different.
