The Video surveillance monitor allows applying a mask to one or several areas of the video image to hide a particular object in the exported file.
In order for the mask to be displayed in the exported video file, you must select the export with recompression in the AxiExport utility – see Select export mode.
To set the mask, go to the archive playback mode and select Export - Hide exporting area in the camera's functional menu.
Note.
As a result, the Hide area window opens, and a black rectangle is displayed in the viewing tile.
In the list of video archive entries, select a video fragment from which you want to add a mask, then click Add in the Hide area window. Set the required position and size of the mask by dragging the black rectangle across the viewing tile. Then select the second fragment, up to which (inclusive) the mask should be present, and also click Add. You can add several video fragments and set mask position individually for each one of them. If the required fragments are not displayed in the list, you can search for videos using one of the methods described in the Archive browsing section.
To delete a time interval, click Delete in the corresponding row of the table.
By default, the area is masked with a black rectangle. You can change the value of the Method of hiding switch so that the mask looks like a blurred or pixelated area.
If necessary, you can enter a comment in the text box.
The Hide area button is intended for hiding/showing the mask on the video image, for example, if the mask should not be displayed in some of the selected video fragments.
After completing the settings for masking areas, click the Save button.
