The Incident server is used for storing events that need to be processed using the Incident processor.

The Incident processor is used for selecting the events to be processed, and for configuring the processing rules for the Operator.

Both of these modules are required for the Incident manager interface object operation — using the Incident manager, the Operator can process events according to the specified rules.

The Incident server and Incident processor are configured as follows:

  1. Create the Incident server and Incident processor objects (see Creating an Incident Server, Creating an Incident Handler).
  2. Select the events to be processed (see Selecting events to display and process).
  3. Set the event priority (see Configuring Event Priority).
  4. Configure the event processing logic (see Creating and configuring event processing logic).
  5. Configure the display of logic (see Configuring the display of logic).
